Celebrities React To Donald Trump’s Presidential Inauguration

On Friday January 20th, 2017 Donald Trump was sworn into office to become the 45th President of the United States. Over the entire length of his campaign, Hollywood and numerous celebrities had spoken out against Trump and his policies, plans and ideologies to "Make America Great Again." With the controversial presidential campaign that he lead, came a lot, a lot of backlash.

Throughout his presidential campaign, Donald Trump has said things that have been racist, sexist, xenophobic and outright wrong. He has instilled the idea that he would overturn vital bills in the Supreme Court, such as the Respect for Marriage Act that was passed in 2015 legalizing gay marriage federally, as well as Roe v. Wade, which legalized a woman's right to choose in terms of abortion. Trump has also discussed building a wall across the southern boarder of the United States to keep out Mexicans and other immigrants from entering the country. He has instilled fear in Muslim Americans due to the Islamophobia that exists within the nation and in turn, have many people fearing for their lives, their rights and deportation.

Of course, Hollywood's elite – who have been known to campaign for equal rights for all – have been outspokenly unhappy about America's choice for the next four years and on Friday, they made this well known by taking to Twitter to share their thoughts, grief, and sarcastic comments.
