Steven:
Q. If you could give your book to one person in the entire world to read, who would it be and why?
Mel Brooks. I think he would appreciate the humor and he is 99. I say the age group did this book is 6-99so he just makes the cut!
Q. What makes your book unputdownable?
Andy Case’s brilliant illustrations, of course. There are so many details you can miss in the first one to two hundred reads!
Q . Who/What is your biggest inspiration in your writing?
My partner Carolyn. She does funny stuff all the time!
Q. What would you name your boat if you had one?
The Snoodle McDoodle!
Q . What is the best/worst purchase you’ve ever made?
The best purchase is a pound of smoked sable. I put it on a bagel with purple onion, tomato and cream cheese and it is delicious. The worst purchase I’ve ever made hmmm….I can’t think of any that would be the worst!
Andy:
Q . Tell us something about you that no one else knows
I used to be a cocktailbarman and i can throw a bottle over my head, have it spin twice in the air and land it on the back of my hand.
Q. Which fictional character would be most exciting to meet in real life?
Miss Marple or Hercule Poirot. We could solve murders together.
Q. Are you good at accents?
Awful.I’mrenowned for being terrible at accents. Even my English accent is terrible
Q. What would be a good theme song for your life?
‘don’t worry, be happy’ – bobby McFerrin
Q . What ridiculous thing has someone tricked you into doing or believing?
My mate once phoned me and told me to hold a can of deodorant on the back of my hand and keep spraying. I had a third degree burn after. I learned a lot about human psychology that day!
